Try to picture this: You enter an Italian Restaurant and have the chance to meet the chef, and it happens to be a skinny person. What will be your first thought? Well, may be that he/she has a very healthy life style or he/she never eats the food he/she prepares. The first fact is good, the second is a concern.

How can you be a good chef without eating your dishes?

Disclaimer: This title could sound banal and I used it because it’s catchy. Chefs are hard workers that spend 12 hours in a kitchen, with low pay and working in condition that we can’t imagine. I have the biggest respect for them.

Now how this could apply to entrepreneurs? Because entrepreneurs are like chefs :

  1. You have to work harder than anybody else.
  2. You have to collect a lot of materials (ingredients) and ideas.
  3. You have to speak with the clients.
  4. You know what your budget is.
  5. You define the creative tone.
  6. You have to ensemble a team.
  7. You have to use your creations.
  8. And the most important: you have to be creative.

You, like a chef, have to make a product that has to optimize the ingredients with the limitation in the conditions that you have.

Every product could be made interesting, even with low budget and cheap materials.

But if after that, you still look like a skinny Italian chef, you may need to start eating your own creations.
